The Fourth Edition of How to Optimize Your Emotionally Dynamic Life Is Now Available
It is a different book from the one many of you have read. The Fourth Edition is 597 pages, down from 826 in the Third Edition. It is the same Seven Governing Dynamics model, but my understanding of it has deepened, and the way I present it is more mature, more precise, and more elegant. It says more with fewer pages.
What if you are not broken, only misunderstood, even by yourself?
Most of us carry the same quiet question: What is wrong with me? This edition offers four better ones.
- What do I need?
- What can I do right now?
- What am I willing to do?
- And what am I truly responsible for?
When those answers are finally told apart, shame loosens its grip and growth becomes possible. A child may need safety before learning. A weary adult may need rest before courage. A wounded heart may need protection before forgiveness. None of that makes you less worthy.
What is new in the Fourth Edition
A Foreword and a Preface. They explain where the book came from and how I hope you will use it.
The Seven Governing Dynamics, laid out in full. Respondability (I Can), Sociability (I Have), Engageability (I Am), Charitability (I Love), Sovereignability (I Claim), Discernibility (I Discern), and Teachability (I Reason). You will find a chapter on each, a chapter on Emotional Sobriety without suppression, and practical tools you can start using this week.
A “Begin where the Lord meets you” section. I have never wanted to hand readers a cookie-cutter plan, because I have no idea where you are on your journey, and no one else does either. Each of us is on our own path. So instead of a one-size-fits-all checklist, this section invites you to seek the inspiration of the Holy Ghost to know what to do, and when. That is what makes this book different from the typical self-help approach.
A closing invitation to ask the Lord. Chapter 10 now ends by sending you to Him rather than to me.
Scripture that has been carefully checked. The scriptural quotations were verified word for word against the text, and the book now includes a scripture index so you can find where each passage is used.
A new cover. One beam of light enters a golden heart and comes out as seven rays, one for each Dynamic. The line across the front says it plainly: Seven functions. One soul. One Light.
The book is grounded in scripture and centered on Jesus Christ. It invites you to correct without humiliating, belong without being consumed, and claim your rightful agency with reverence.
Come as you are. Take the next fitted step.

If you own an earlier edition
Thank you. Keep it, mark it up, share it. The Fourth Edition is the one I now stand behind, and it is the one the rest of my books point back to. The new edition is a separate listing on Amazon, so if you want to leave a review, it starts fresh there. A review of the Fourth Edition helps other readers find it.
What else has happened since my last post
It has been a few weeks since I wrote about Life Manager, Corpus Librarian, and the books in production. Here is what has changed.
The website has a new look. I rebuilt the home page to help you find the right book faster. You can now start from what you are facing, such as anger, shame, exhaustion, or a relationship that drains you, and it points you to the book written for that. There are new pages explaining the seven capacities, a reorganized library, and a books page with a buy button on every title.
More than forty books are now available. You can browse all of them on the books page. If you are new here, the Fourth Edition is the place to start.
The tools are still being built. Life Manager and Corpus Librarian are still in progress, and so is my plan to bring career development and wealth building into Life Manager as part of functional Sociability. I will give a fuller update in a future post.
Thank you for reading, for sharing the books, and for walking this path with me.
