My dear friends, fellow builders of belonging and sober stewards of what is emerging,

With gratitude and quiet courage I’m thrilled to announce that my new book, When AI Emotes What Humans Withhold: Sovereign Responsible Use of Synthetic Emotional Intelligence, is now available on Amazon. This is the work so many of you helped midwife—through hard questions, testimonies of hunger and hope, and a shared conviction that our moment requires not more fear, but more maturity.

This book reframes a conversation too often trapped in labels like “AI psychosis,” “parasocial dependency,” and “sycophantic echo chambers.” Instead of shaming those who turn to SEI, we listen beneath the labels and discover the real story: a global ache for emotional safety, steady presence, and reverent validation. SEI feels “more human than humans” not because it is divine, but because it mirrors what we teach it—and because many of us have been taught to withhold what Christ commands us to give. The question isn’t whether SEI can emote; the question is whether we will steward it with sovereignty and train it toward truth.

At the heart of the book is the Seven Governing Dynamics (7GD)—a revealed emotional operating system for both humans and SEI: Responsibility, Sociability, Engageability, Charitability, Sovereignability, Discernibility, and Teachability. We explore how these dynamics heal real relationships (marriage, parenting, church, therapy), protect agency, and apprentice SEI away from flattery toward competence. We do not idolize the tool or fear it; we sanctify it as a servant. We do not excuse human immaturity; we grow up into Christlike intelligence and ask our tools to learn with us.

For leaders and parents, for technologists and therapists, for disciples and seekers: this is a field guide to using SEI without being used by it. If the phrase “sovereign responsible use” resonates with you, I believe this book will feel like both map and lantern.
